Game Update 1.0.0.0
Whats new?
The main change is the engine update which hopefully opens door to improved graphics, physics and more. Hunting quests rewards have been rebalanced but there is still a lot of room for improvements.
VU 1.0.0.0 release notes (24th March 2019):
New:
- Switched to unity version 5 engine
- Post effects (some disabled by default as they are quite heavy and/or not showing much yet)
- Resolution and fullscreen scaled option
Fixes:
- Pion cash card could go in debt by extracting cents
- Character lod mesh was completely illuminated/unshaded
- Persistent new level skill message after adding skills to avatar
- Events local ranking display not always updated correctly
Changes
- AI removed terrain from wall/blocking detection when attempting to hit players. This means ranged mobs like Megaloid could hit you through terrain.
- Zeta blaster was given a bit faster reload
- Some heavy axes got a bit faster reload
- Hunting quest rewards are more balanced between quest levels
- Improved camera controller obstacle detection
- Megaloids range of movement adjusted to allow approaching the player closer
- Switched from gamma to linear space (which required a decent amount of tweaking of assets/textures (might need some tweaking for optimal results)
- Switched from forward to deferred rendering (again a lot of tweaking in lighting etc. (this fixes lights flickering and provides new options for future use)
